Meet Ross, Orbits South West Director
Ross is constantly going above and beyond to understand the growing and changing needs of clients. He puts the requirements of what the people need above all else to always the deliver and achieve the best result.
Being a people person makes face-to-face and online communication simple. He is always ready for a challenge when delivering the perfect solution to any client, even if they aren’t completely sure of what they will require.
To get to know Ross more he was asked some questions:
What do you do at work on a daily basis?
I can be doing lots of different things daily. One day I could be meeting with clients, whether it be virtually or in person, to discuss future and ongoing IT plans and projects. On other days, I could be working with the other members of management, to ensure the solutions that are provided are correct and tailored to the needs of each client. I could also be working with the onsite engineers to make sure they have what is needed when they go out on site.
What do you think makes Orbits IT unique?
We are unique because we’re an IT company that puts our customers first. We sit down with our clients to understand what they do and what they require to determine the best course of action when proposing any solution. Making sure we provide tailored solutions to each client, avoiding a ‘one size fits all’ solution that doesn’t allow for change, is essential.
Why do you think it is important to build a relationship with clients?
We make sure to build a good customer relationship to ensure we have a correct understanding of how our clients’ businesses operate, to provide the correct and best solutions. We are not just another supplier; we become an extension of the team and many of the changes that we go through is steered by our clients’ requirements.
What is the most common computer related issue you see?
Common issues can change over time, with the most recent set being more of a hurdle we have tackled with many different clients. This has been enabling people to work from home. This has been the case for many businesses due to the numerous lockdowns that have occurred over the last year and a half due to COVID-19. It has been at times a challenge due to the company wide infrastructure, meaning changes needed to occur to allow this transition to be as seamless as possible to allow for both office and at home working.
Further comments from Ross…
I am immensely lucky to be a part of an incredible team, who day in, day out strive to deliver the outstanding service that Orbits has become known for. It is without no doubt that the success of our growing organisation is due to loyalty of both our staff and clients, of which some have been with us since our inception.
As we wave goodbye to traditional ways of working, I look forward to working with our team to help our clients move towards the eagerly embraced hybrid working model using some of the most secure and reliable technologies our industry has to offer.
