Orbits IT to run Cardiff half marathon for Bliss on Sunday

We are delighted to be running the Cardiff half marathon, this Sunday the 2 October, in aid of Bliss, a charity that supports families with premature and sick babies.

We set a target to raise £1,000 and are thrilled to have exceeded this with our fundraising pot currently standing at £1,182. If you have not already donated, then we would, of course, still really appreciate your support. Every penny we raise makes a difference, and will help improve future research into the care of premature babies.

Orbits IT Director, Jim Lewington, says: “We’re fundraising for Bliss after it supported Millie, our Operations Director Dean Bengough’s god daughter, when she was born at 30 weeks weighing just 1lb 12oz in 2015.

“Millie received eight weeks of care from the intensive care unit at the University Hospital of Wales and the special care unit at the Princess of Wales Hospital in Bridgend. During this difficult time, Bliss provided wonderful support and guidance. Millie is now happy and healthy, thanks to the support of the Neonatal Unit and Bliss.

Jim adds: “We are so pleased to have already exceeded our fundraising target. Thank you to everyone who has kindly made a donation.”

The Orbits IT team will be running with Liam Payne (Millie’s Dad). This includes Jim Lewington, Dean Bengough, Ross Bengough, Toby Pomeroy, Hollie Xerri and Nat Hardy.
