Orbits IT are delighted to announce that David Mitchell has accepted our invitation to join the company as a Non-Executive Director.David is a successful local businessman who believes passionately in the development of SME’s and has invested both time and financial resources to assist their ambitions.  In 1983 using his own limited capital the started Scafftag in Barry: the mission was to design visual interactive safety systems for the construction industry but within six months the products and associated programs drew the attention of major oil and gas companies from there on the business expanded internationally. The company had manufacturing facilities in Europe, Australia. USA and the Middle East until 2007 when, as no family members were wanting to follow on, he sold to an American group.

He now manages, with his business partner Mitchell One Ltd a company based Wales the USA & Australia involving property development but offering help as needed to SME’s locally which include aerospace design engineering and IT companies.

We are delighted to have David on board and we are certain that his enthusiasm, business experience and resources will be a huge advantage as Orbits IT continue to grow.
