My name is Jack Matthews and I’m enthusiastic to be doing my IT apprenticeship role with Orbits IT!

Prior to starting work with Orbits IT, I have an educational background in computing and cybersecurity and have spent most of my time since leaving education partaking in volunteering as an IT support those for a local comprehensive school, my local library as well as in various other community spaces. I was also previously employed as an apprentice IT Technician with the Vale of Glamorgan Council which gave me first hand experience in being able to handle members of the public from a wide variety of backgrounds. My past roles also gave me insights into all the different types of technical issues the average user deals with and the best ways of resolving them. I look forward to applying the skills I’ve learnt and developing my knowledge and ability through working alongside experienced professionals in my current workplace.

Outside of work you’ll normally find me developing and maintaining my physique working out at my local gym. I also love to regularly spend quality time out with my friends, family and girlfriend.
