We’ve got exciting news – the next chapter of Orbits IT

There have been several pivotal moments in the history of Orbits IT but, our latest is by far the most exciting. We are proud to announce that:

Orbits IT is now officially Employee Owned!

This means our fantastic team – the same people you speak to regularly, know and trust – now have a real stake in the future of the business. We’ve always believed that great service starts with great people, and this step allows us to reward those who have helped Orbits become what we are today. A leader in IT Services across South Wales, Midlands and the South West.

Why we’ve made the move

There are several reasons why we have transitioned to Employee owned, but ultimately it’s about reward and recognition. Our team has worked incredibly hard to support businesses across the UK, and becoming employee-owned is our way of saying thank you.

It also helps secure the long-term future of Orbits IT. By putting ownership in the hands of our people, we’re safeguarding our independence and ensuring we stay true to the values our clients appreciate: friendly, reliable, expert support without the fuss.

Our founder Jim Lewington says:

When we looked at the future of Orbits IT, only the Employee Owned model made sense to us. It sures up our future and maintains the legacy. We have spent 16 years building this company, and we are all fiercely proud of it. It’s only right that those who have helped achieve our success should benefit from it. I am excited to continue the journey and see what more we can achieve together.

What does this mean for you?

If you’re a client, the short answer is – nothing changes.

✅ Same great service
✅ Same great team
✅ Lead by the same Directors

In other words, it’s business as usual – just with even more reason for our team to feel proud of the work they do every day.

Looking ahead

This is a big milestone for Orbits IT, but it’s also just the next step in our journey. We’re excited about what the future holds and grateful to all our clients for being part of our story so far.

We would like to thank our friends at GSVerde and Cwmpas for all their support during this transition.

As always, if you have any questions or want to know more, feel free to reach out. We’re here to help.
