Trouble connecting to your network using Logmein Hamachi?
Many of our clients use the Hamachi to connect to their network from outside the office.
As some of you may already know, Hamachi has been known to rarely show as online while not allowing clients to connect to it.
Exiting and then re-opening the Hamachi software does not solve the problem and restarting the computer/server can be understandably annoying, clients still cannot connect to the network. sound familiar?
Not to worry though, this can be resolved by restarting the LogMeIn Hamachi Tunneling Engine service within Windows on the computer/server that you are trying to connect to.
First of all we need to exit Hamachi, you can do this by right clicking on the icon in the taskbar and then selecting “Exit”.
Once Hamachi is closed we need to open the Windows services console.
If you are using Windows 7 or Windows Vista you can just press the start button on your keyboard and type “services.msc” into the search bar and select the first option.
If your computer is running Windows XP you can access the Windows Services console by typing “services.msc” into the run Window from the Start menu.
When the Services console opens, scroll down until you find “LogMeIn Hamachi Tunneling Engine”. Right click on it and select “Restart”.
A few moments later and the service will be running again, launch Hamachi and your clients should now be able to connect to the network once again :)
