IT Support Apprentice

Orbits IT are recruiting for a IT Support Apprentice to join our busy South Wales office in Barry (CF62 5QN).

Learn the skills you need to forge a career in IT. Experience a busy helpdesk environment, work with engineers to build servers, networks and cloud solutions, enjoy accredited training and lots of on the job training…

Here are some comments from some of our previous apprentices:

Throughout my apprenticeship I had lots of opportunities to learn a wide range of new skills, with the support of a very welcoming helpdesk and management team. Some of these skills included: networking, Microsoft Business applications, backups, repairing hardware, general IT knowledge and communication. Since completing my apprenticeship in September 2020 I have still continued to work on these skills at Orbits.

I thoroughly enjoyed my apprenticeship and it is definitely a path I recommend for someone looking to start a career in IT!

Alex Lawson, Orbits IT

My apprenticeship gave me the opportunity to learn new skills both in the office and on-site and helped build my understanding of processes and systems from the ground up. It’s the perfect opportunity for someone who’s looking to build on anything they already know and learn their way around helpdesk systems and hardware builds.

Since completing my apprenticeship, I have now moved into a Customer Relationship Support role meaning I get to support our clients with quoting new hardware or support opportunities, check in to ensure their current support and hardware still work for them and find out if there are any areas we can improve our support for them.
