Location: Barry, South Wales
Employment Type: Full-Time, Apprenticeship (Monday to Friday 9AM to 5PM)
Role Overview
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and proactive IT Support & Delivery Apprentice to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on IT experience, develop valuable technical skills, and work towards the CompTIA A+ certification. Alongside hardware preparation and stock management, you’ll also deliver IT equipment to end users, ensuring a smooth and professional deployment.
This apprenticeship is designed to lay the groundwork for a successful IT career, with clear progression opportunities into roles such as Field Technician or IT Engineer.
Key Responsibilities
1. Hardware Preparation:
- Assist with setting up and configuring laptops, desktops, and other IT equipment.
- Ensure devices are tested and deployment-ready for clients or internal use.
2. Hardware Delivery and Deployment:
- Deliver IT hardware to end users at client sites, ensuring professional and timely service.
- Provide basic setup and troubleshooting support during deliveries if required.
3. Asset Management:
- Support the secure and compliant disposal of old IT hardware.
- Maintain accurate records of goods coming in and out
4. Stock Control:
- Help manage a small inventory of IT hardware and peripherals.
- Conduct regular stock audits and ensure critical items are always in stock.
5. Team Support:
- Assist field technicians by stocking their vehicles with essential tools and equipment.
- Support larger projects such as office moves, hardware rollouts, or infrastructure upgrades.
6. Workplace Maintenance:
- Help maintain a clean, organised, and safe workspace.

- Full UK driving license and willingness to travel for hardware delivery.

- A proactive attitude and ability to assist with physical tasks, such as moving and delivering equipment.
