Hi, my name is Ben and I’m really looking forward to progressing through my IT apprenticeship with Orbits IT.

In my previous education, one of the subjects I studied was ICT at A Level, which I had a strong passion for, having previously completed it at GCSE level. I then took a little bit of time off of education and worked full time in insurance, this was to be productive maintaining routine, whilst saving money, all while figuring out what I wanted to go into career wise. The insurance industry taught me a lot of skills which are transferable to IT, in terms of customer service as I was dealing with customers via the phone and using software in order edit personal details for customers. It also helped my confidence with speaking to new people, especially in tricky situations and scenarios.

I have always had a passion for IT and a desire to progress within it for a career. I would always be helping friends and family with software issues, had a love for building computers and found that both of these came naturally to me.

In my spare time I love going to the gym, playing football, gaming and socialising with friends regularly. Keeping active is definitely a key part of my life.
