Citizens Advice wins £6000 of IT support
We are delighted to announce Citizens Advice is the winner of our annual charity raffle. Citizens Advice provides free, confidential information and advice.
Every year we run our charity sponsorship draw to select a charity to give our IT services to for the coming year. This draw is open to ANY registered charity and we automatically enter all our charitable clients.
We know every charity is different, so we aim to ensure the winner’s prize is in a form that best helps the specific needs of that charity. In the past we have given free IT support, free remote backups and several free websites.
Orbits started working the Swansea Neath Port Talbot Citizens Advice Bureau in 2012. Since we today support 10 Citizens Advice Bureaus across England and Wales, we have decided to donate 10 hours of free IT support to each bureau. This is the equivalent of a total prize value of £6000!
Orbits IT Managing Director, Jim Lewington, says: “I’m so pleased to see Citizens Advice win our raffle. 2020 has been a very difficult year for many and I know how valued the support they have given to people throughout the pandemic has been. In the same way Citizens Advice supports people in England in Wales, I’m delighted that through our IT services we can support such a fantastic charity in the provision of their wonderful work.”
We have worked with Orbits IT for nearly 5 years and we have always found them to be professional, knowledgeable, adaptable and flexible at all times. They provide technical support to a broad range of staff with variable IT skills and nothing is too much trouble for them. Quality support and guidance has always been given and the help with project planning has helped us to design and implement a secure network that helps us to develop our business. The support on offer ranges from the sourcing and purchasing of software/hardware, the installation and configuration of equipment, guidance on system and cyber security as well as a comprehensive technical support helpdesk. The quality service which Orbits IT provides leaves me confident in the knowledge that our network will reliably meet and overcome the challenges that we are likely to experience in the advice sector in the coming years. We are very satisfied with the service we receive and would like to thank Jim, Dean and the team for all their support.
This is great news – thank you. Our timing could not have been more perfect to procure your services during Covid-19, you have been responsive, helpful and fantastic to work with during this difficult time. Nothing is too much trouble and we are really enjoying working with everyone in your team. I have and will continue to recommend your services to partners and across the Citizens Advice network.
We are delighted to have been selected as a nominated charity by Orbits this year. Orbits are one of our key partners. They support us and our staff to develop IT systems that serve our organisation and our clients. Over the last 5 years they have saved us time and money helping us to help more clients with our advice services.
Wow, that’s fantastic news and your charitable support is very much appreciated, along with your ongoing technical support. As always, very happy to provide very positive feedback, due to the fact that it is true:
We joined the Orbits team earlier this year (pre-Covid) after considering several quotes. Orbit ticked all the boxes – competitive quotes, product range and knowledge and experience of the team. We have not been disappointed, the professionalism, ‘can do’ approach, support and attention to detail by the team is exemplorary. Your team has certainly helped us to adjust to home-working and promptly support with any technical issues. Many thanks.
If you are a registered charity and would like to enter next year’s charity draw, you can do so here.
