The basics of IT explained for free.
Whilst visiting the New Start Wales exhibition in Cardiff at the weekend, Orbits spent a fair amount of time talking to the boys from e-skills UK who, in partnership with the Welsh Assembly Government, have released the Business IT Guide. This is a 70 page booklet which takes business owners through the basics of IT.
Topics covered include:
- Choosing the right PC or Laptop
- Business Security (including Malware & SPAM)
- Disposal of Electronic items under the WEEE initiative
It is a well written booklet which covers the key areas you need to consider when addressing your IT needs. They also have over 100 other booklets offering impartial, jargon free IT advice. They are well worth investigating HERE.

I lost all the photos of a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Thailand, Cambodia and Laos. I vowed never again to be so un-prepared. Around 20% of new laptops will have a hardware failure within three years.
Many ways to fail
Before you can design an effective backup approach you need to understand the Continue reading
